Meet the pedElle 2023 riders: Tash Stocks, Knight Frank
We spoke to first-time pedEller Tash Stocks, Senior Surveyor, at Knight Frank, about the importance of always having Jelly Babies on hand.
Tell us a little about your and your job role: I joined the Knight Frank graduate scheme almost 5 years ago and now work in the London Tenant Representation team.
Have you done pedElle before? No first time, eek!
What’s the one piece of advice you’d pass on to new riders? Always have Jelly Babies to hand on the longer rides and invest in a good pair of cycling shorts!
How have you approached training? A mixture of Club Peloton training rides, spinning classes and generally keeping fit by running, swimming etc.
What are you most looking forward to about riding in Slovenia? Seeing Lake Bled for the first time and getting to know the other riders!
What are you not looking forward to? The first hill which I think will be a shock to the system and the last hill by which point I think I will be spent and saddle sore!
How are you connecting with other pedElle riders? The training rides have been great for this as they always include time for a coffee stop. WhatsApp groups and LinkedIn have also been really useful for sharing training tips and packing lists!
How does the charity element of the ride keep you motivated? I have always been really inspired by others who undertake amazing challenges to raise money for charity. The fact this is a fundraising ride has made the experience more rewarding as I am hopefully making a difference to some really deserving charities whilst also challenging myself physically.
