Greoux les Bains to Cannes: the final day

While the 2023 edition of Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM might only have been six days' worth of cycling, it's definitely felt like a full seven days' worth of adventure. From the moment we left a snowy Herne Hill on the coach to arrive in northern France to torrential downpours and energy-sapping head- (and cross-) winds, it's been a rollercoaster. Everyone has had their moments of darkness - however short or long - but every cyclist has had to overcome that to carry on through to the finish line. They have pulled together, pushed together and pedalled together, and during that process have dug deep to bring themselves and others around them with them.

Camaraderie comes from the French camarade or 'comrade', meaning "mutual trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together." Never is this more true than on a Cycle to MIPIM - whether that time is spent on a bike, on the coach, in the bar, or with the sports injury therapist or mechanic who is mending your body or your bike (although hopefully not for too long) - this is a shared experience that forms long-lasting bonds that extend beyond a first foray or lifetime love of cycling.
