Chalon-sur-Saone to Valence - Feeling whizzy

Day 5 is the longest day of the event, at 267kms. But with the weather drying out, a beautiful sunny afternoon, and some lovely climbs, the peloton has 'ridden into' the event, arriving into cafe stops and lunch ahead of schedule. Valence to Greoux les Bains - hello hills It's a big day today after 267kms yesterday: another 216kms and 3,600m of climbing from Valence to Greoux les Bains await the peloton. The rider's hotel in the morning is akin to a field hospital, with bodies awaiting repair with kinesiology tape before they return to their bikes for the penultimate day. But the sun is shining and the scenery is stunning.
