Meet the riders: Archie MacColl, Knight Frank

Archie MacColl is a surveyor in Knight Frank's Data Centres Development & Investment Team. This will be his first Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM and he is looking forward to the views in southern France. He's not wrong about the top tip he's picked up from others either. 

Tell us about yourself and what you’re working on right now:

I joined the Knight Frank Data Centre team over 1.5 years ago, working on data centre development and investment deals across the UK and wider Europe.

How did you get involved in Cycle to MIPIM?

I've been taking part in Knight Frank rides since joining the firm, and always loved the idea of taking part in the Cycle to MIPIM.

What are you most looking forward to?

The views in southern France, fresh air, and riding in a peloton with motorbike outriders.

What are you dreading? 

French headwinds and pillows... 

How are you approaching training?

A mixture of lonely morning rides before work and longer rides with fellow C2MIPIM riders on the weekends. 

Any top tips you’ve picked up that you’ll take with you on the event?

Enough rain will get through anything you previously thought was waterproof.

What would you most like to get out of the event?

A sense of achievement having raised money for three great charities, and naturally some new friends!

What does the fundraising mean to you?

I hosted a charity pub quiz as a way to bring friends under one roof and also to acknowledge how many donation request people receive for sporting endeavours.

What changes does your business expect to see over the next year?

Continued headwinds in the UK power market driving innovative power solutions. Something that Knight Fran are working on directly.
