Meet the riders: Rob Sorby, Knight Frank

Published on March 4, 2026

Rob Sorby is a Partner at Knight Frank and will be riding Cycle to MIPIM for the first time this year. He's dreading the inevitable and constant faffing but looking forward to the French pastries and the camaraderie.

Tell us about yourself and what you're working on right now:

Within the PAM department, I provide strategic asset management advice to The Pollen Estate for their holdings in Mayfair.

How did you get involved in Cycle to MIPIM?

Became aware through colleagues in PAM (Will Monk, Mike Thornton, and Kathryn Cripps), and I rode Day One (London to Folkestone) in 2022.

What are you most looking forward to?

French pastries, the views, and the camaraderie

What are you dreading?

Packing/unpacking/faffing, aches and pains.

How are you approaching training?

Grabbing what time I can, generally very early mornings.

What would you most like to get out of the event?

Making contacts/friends, having fun, but also completing the challenge in one piece

What does the fundraising mean to you?

The chance to make a small impact to support three incredible charities

What changes does your business expect to see over the next year?

A focus on driving value from asset management initiatives, not necessarily injection of new capital, and an increasing use of AI to drive productivity and enhance reporting and hence decision making.
