Kent Event Marshals support in delivering COVID-19 home swab kits

Those of you who have joined us on a multi-day event won’t forget the presence of our event motos keeping you safe on the roads. Kent Event Marshals have been keeping busy during the pandemic.

Ali Yusuf (International Projects Delivery Manager with Kings Commercial Services and a member of KEM) tells us more:

"The motorcycle group Kent Event Marshals, who normally ensure the safety of cycle events for Club Peloton, marked International Volunteers Day by assisting Kings with delivering and collecting home swabbing kits for pre-surgical patients.

When the transport team requested help with their home swabbing service, Ali Yousuf asked his motorcycle group KEM for assistance. The group swung into action providing motorcycle volunteers to assist the service. The weekend was so successful that the volunteer program is being extended further with more home swabbing being completed by KEM."

Danny Spanks – Head of Transport said: “We are really grateful to Kings Commercial Services and Kent Event Marshals in supporting the transport service with home swabbing kits”.

Ali joined us on the BCO ride in 2018 (Gothenberg to Copenhagen) as well as Cycle to MIPIM (London to Portsmouth) a number of times.
