If you've secured your spot on Cycle to MIPIM 2020 but you're worried about training, then we are here to help. We have a number of weekly training sessions and weekend training rides, led by experienced riders who will have ridden Club Peloton events before and will be able to provide help and encouragement along the way.
Weekly training sessions
Weekly Wednesday 7am Regents park Laps at London Zoo with Christian Spencer-Davies
The Wednesday morning cycling group (AKA the Giraffe Spotters, because they start just by the Giraffes). They are always there on Wednesdays at 07:00 all year round, rain or shine.
It’s important to be on time or early as otherwise you may not find them amongst all the other groups of cyclists in the park and they set off on time. No need to let Christian know that you are coming but if you do he will be able to look out for you. Email him at email@example.com.
This is a friendly group and it will not too fast for anyone i.e. they ride together as you will ride on Cycle to MIPIM or any of our other events. Generally they stop for a coffee or breakfast at 08:00 (no lock needed).

7th December 2019 - London to Hertfordshire with James Morgan and Jerry Tate: 70k easy loop, riding out of London around the lovely leafy Hertfordshire countryside. Some gentle rolling hills, coffee and cake stop and back by lunchtime. Register here.
15th December 2019 - Ardeley with Anna Beckett and Andy Yates: This is a beginners ride of 106km and the group will be riding as fast as the slowest cyclist. The ride will head out of London through Barnet and Potters Bar and then wind through the lanes to Hertford, before heading north to the coffee stop at Ardeley Farm Shop. The route back is undulating as the road heads through the fields towards London but it's really pretty on a cold day! Register here.
5th January 2020 - Buckinghamshire Villages and Woburn with Mike Axon: A 70k ride through the flat Buckinghamshire countryside for the most part, with some short and pleasant hills towards the end. Starting at Big Rock Climbing Centre in Milton Keynes, out through Winslow and back past Great Brickhill and Woburn Deer Park. Register here.
11th January 2020 - Knebworth with Anna Beckett and Andy Yates: This will be a 120k route for beginners. The route heads out through Potters Bar and Hatfield, before reaching the lanes in Hertfordshire. After passing the ruined church at Ayot St Lawrence it heads north to Great Offley before heading back towards Knebworth (look out for the dinosaur!). Stop for coffee at Spoke Cycles, just outside Codicote, before heading back into London via Wheathamstead. If needed, there are stations along the way; Knebworth (70km), Potters Bar (102km). 11th January 2020 - The Amberley Loop with Toby Fox: 140k ride with 1,600m of climbing. A memorable route of mostly country lanes and villages with very little traffic in previous years, apart from the final late afternoon 20km into Cobham. The route goes through the Surrey Hills and into the South Downs National Park around Petworth, stopping at Amberley (near Arundel) for lunch before looping back through Billingshurst and some more Surrey Hills. Four main climbs: Staple Lane and Iron Lane early on; Farley Heath Road and Combe Lane on the return. Lunch is at the Riverside Tea Rooms (http://dinebytheriver.co.uk/).
