Andrew Hynard, from Hynard Consulting, has shared with us his Club Peloton journey to date and his 1500 challenge, of which there are a few!
“Having ridden with Club Peloton to MIPIM five or six years ago, Club Peloton was the obvious logistics partner when it came to sorting the ‘Howard de Walden’ ride to Paris in September 2019.
Club Peloton, Coram and its other charity partners have suffered in common with so many other great organisations throughout the last year. I have drawn welcome relief from the John Norden meet-up rides on Zwift and Zoom, which get me out of bed almost as early as the MIPIM wake-up alarm calls, and allow me to enjoy good company and mental, if not physical, respite!
So I am really pleased to be taking part in the 1500 and have decided to tackle a couple of challenges. For my first challenge, I took park in the 48 hour non-stop virtual relay on Zwift which was orchestrated by John Norden. During the challenge we collectively rode over 1,500km (in fact our team cycled 1,790km!), which represents an average speed of 19.5mph/31kmh!
I am also aiming to personally ride 100 miles a week for the 15 weeks from March 15th, which adds up to 1,500 miles. Happily that takes me up to the date of my daughter Lucy’s wedding and should mean that I shall be able to fit in to my morning suit!
Good luck to everyone with their own challenges, and let’s raise a tidy sum for the charities.”
