Day 2: Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM 2025
Ouistreham to Blois - 287kms
Having ticked off the overnight ferry crossing, the peloton assembles in Ouistreham to roll out for the first of today's five stages - in total, 287kms to Blois. Teams Lockton, SLR and ME Engineers take it in turns to lead out each of the stages. While they have a headwind to contend with, conditions are otherwise dry, with a sunny spell around lunchtime that brings a few legs out.
With quick changeovers at each stop - a succession of similar-looking village halls, reminiscent of school assemblies - the group makes good time throughout the day to arrive into Blois, their final destination for the day, just after 10.30pm. A long day on the road, Day 2 has cemented 49 individuals into one cohesive peloton.
On top of that, we are delighted that the 14 four-day riders have also safely arrived into Blois, after the small matter of an unexploded WW2 bomb in Paris slightly disrupted their travel plans. Tomorrow, the peloton rides again.
