Cycle to MIPIM 2027: how your fundraising makes a difference
In 2027, Cycle to MIPIM aims to raise £200,000 for Club Peloton’s supported project, Coram, the UK’s first and oldest children’s charity.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, last year Coram directly supported 230,058 children, young people and carers. Coram helps vulnerable children and young people in many ways. In the last year, Coram has reached more children and families than ever before by maintaining and developing its direct delivery services across seven strategic goals: a fair chance in life; a loving home; a voice that’s heard; a chance to shine; skills for the future; no matter where; and, a society that cares.
Funds raised by Cycle to MIPIM will go where Coram’s skills and services can make the most difference, creating change that lasts a lifetime.
Adoption through Coram is a life-changing and deeply rewarding experience that brings love and stability to the lives of children who have had the hardest start in life. However, adjusting to a new loving family can also present real challenges. Without the right support, some adoptive families struggle to meet the complex emotional and behavioural needs their children may display as a result of their earlier experiences.
This can lead to heightened stress and difficulties in maintaining stable placements. Research suggests that around 42% of adoptive families experience significant challenges, underscoring the importance of ongoing, tailored support to help families thrive together.
How your fundraising will make a difference:
- £60 could contribute towards the cost of one adoptive family attending one of Coram’s specialist Adoption Support Groups.
- £250 could contribute towards the cost of one adoptive family accessing three Peer Mentor support sessions to support their child’s support needs in school, or three Life Story Work consultation sessions to support their child’s identity needs.
- £900 could contribute towards the cost of 15 adoptive families attending Coram’s monthly Stay & Play session.
- £1,000 could contribute towards delivering 10 adoption workshops, enabling adoptive parents to build their confidence, knowledge and skills.

“We’ve had really good experiences with the therapy and support in helping to deal with Lucas’ different emotions and to help us put boundaries in place. It’s fantastic to still get support with Coram, six years into our adoption, which is something that not all agencies would offer. We know that Lucas’ teenage years may be harder so it’s great to know that we can continue to get support as he gets older.”
“Life has changed – all for the better. We can’t imagine Lucas not in our lives, he is a joy. He is very different to a child we might have had biologically – which has been an amazing thing to experience, and we love watching him grow and develop. We both love him to bits.”
Julie and Aaron, adoptive parents of Lucas
