On a rainy night at the end of November, women from the property industry met to learn more about the Legal & General Real Assets pedElle 2019.
Like all Club Peloton rides, the ride offers networking, fundraising and some incredible cycling to its participants. This year’s edition of the event – the seventh since the ride was started by Jen Ross and Claire Treanor in 2013 – will take place in Italy.
The ride will cover around 400km from Siena to Rome from 19th-23rd June, with three days of cycling. It promises incredible views of vineyards, hilltop towns and stunning architecture. As with every Club Peloton ride, there will be support on the road from crew, sports injury therapists, mechanic, paramedic and lead car, along with ride captains out on the road with the riders. Support prior to the ride is also provided in the form of training, nutrition, kit and fundraising advice.
The launch event also provided an opportunity for some of the most pressing questions to be answered straightaway, with Club Peloton ride captain and EG Deputy Ed Sam McClary hosting a Q&A with previous riders and ride captains about what it’s like to ride together for the first time and the support that’s available for anyone who is just starting their cycling journey.
Riders will be fundraising for Coram, Cyclists Fighting Cancer, Tom’s Trust and Multiple System Atrophy Trust (find out more about the charities here) and are required to raise £1000. Last year, pedElle raised a staggering £70k and we’re looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings.
Registration is open now and there are only 45 places available. Make sure you’ve signed up at https://clubpeloton.org/pedelle/.
