Huge congratulations to this year’s King’s Cross Cycle to MAPIC riders, who have raised a huge £68k (including Gift Aid) for Coram and our charity beneficiaries.
We arrived in sunny Cannes after four days cycling from Girona to the south of France. The riders passed through vineyards, rolling hills of olive trees and conquered challenging climbs thanks to strong riding and great teamwork.
Many thanks to our headline sponsor, King’s Cross, for three years at the helm as title sponsor, and to all our team and ride sponsors.
Craig White, Senior Project Director, had this to say: “King’s Cross has had an incredible three years sponsoring Cycle to MAPIC. At the heart of it, we’ve supported Coram, a charity local to King’s Cross, as well as Club Peloton’s other charity beneficiaries, all of whom do amazing work.
There’s also been a lot of networking out on the road over the past three years. The ride has helped raise our brand awareness; it’s given us an international platform on arrival into MAPIC; the timing has perfectly coincided with the opening of Coal Drops Yard; and we’ve made connections and friendships we could never have predicted.
We’ve raised awareness with female riders, and throughout we hope we’ve provided an all-inclusive and fun atmosphere. We’ve worked with cycling brands, products and stores who in turn have supported the ride, as well as creating an ongoing international relationship and friendships thanks to our link to cyclists and cycling organisations in Girona.
And my favourite moment? It’s always our arrival onto the Croisette, the group photograph, and then the drinks at Le Crillon, which provide a nice way to end the business of charity cycling and start the business of being at the conference.”
