On 5th October 2016, Club Peloton welcomed a top line-up of cycling and property industry heavyweights for a night of networking and cycling at our annual Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony, once more held again at the Lee Valley Velodrome, the home of Team GB’s cycling successes at London 2012.
The evening began with seven teams taking to the track for some thrilling team pursuit racing to pedal it out against other Club Peloton riders past and present. Post-race, attendees were treated to drinks, canapés and dinner, alongside entertainment in the form of Jens Voigt – who had taken to the boards as the fourth member of Club Peloton’s own track team – and Owain Doull – fresh from Gold medal success in Rio. Both were interviewed by our host for the evening, sports journalist Ned Boulting.
Raffle tickets provided a chance to win some great prizes and raised over £2,500 for Club Peloton’s main charity, Coram. The evening concluded with an awards ceremony to acknowledge and reward individuals and organisations in the industry who have done the most to promote cycling. There was also recognition for those Club Peloton riders who put in outstanding performances over the past 12 months. The awards were judged by a special group of cycling and property personalities, including road racing legend and Policy Adviser for British Cycling, Chris Boardman.
We’d like to offer our congratulations to all the evening’s winners, including Team Knight Frank who came out victorious in the team pursuit racing.
The Award winners were as follows:
White Collar Factory
Cycling Facilities: Development
Hiscox Headquarters Building
Cycling Facilities: Conceptual
