What is it?

The Legal & General Real Assets Cycle to MIPIM is our original endurance charity bike ride, open to cyclists of all abilities, with riders covering almost 1,500km from London to the international retail estate show, MIPIM, in Cannes over six days.

The 2018 ride will take place from the 8th to the 13th March and will again be run as ride, with two routes:

London – Calais – Cannes (via Folkestone)

London – Caen – Cannes (via Portsmouth)

Cost: £1999 with a £3000 fundraising target

The 2017 ride raised £612,617 – a huge effort by all our riders and a BIG thank you from our charities.

Folkestone Route (via Calais)

Portsmouth Route (via Caen)

Over six days, over 150 professionals from the property industry ride in a relay format, completing at least two (of the five or six) stages every day, ranging from 40 – 60km each.

Fundraising for our charity partners, the event has helped make the overall total raised by Club Peloton more than £2.5 million so far. This year, with your help, we are aiming to beat the £1 million we have raised for our main beneficiary, Coram.

The ride itself is extremely challenging, with early starts, long days and late finishes. Riders have the opportunity to network with industry associates, while experiencing what it’s like to be a pro cyclist, with a full support crew comprising mechanical support, medics, physiotherapists, motorcycle outriders and lead car. The cyclists have to learn to work together as a group as tired bodies are challenged by early morning starts, variable weather conditions and challenging climbs. This all helps to contribute to the bonds that form between riders over the six days, making the celebrations in Cannes all the more special.
